Foreign film post

The foreign film that i watched was " LIfe is Beautiful" which is a Italin language film starring Robert Benigni who gives an amazeing performance. I really liked this film very much, the directing and writeing was just simply amazeing. This is the type of film that can bring tears to your eyes. I would def. recommend this film to anybody. I actuallky think this is the best film I've seen in a long time. Just the story between the father and son is enough to just graso you with joy.

Breathless

We watched Breathless which is a 1960 French film directed by Jean-Luc Godard. While watching the opening scene of Breathless I thought the film would suck . I turned out to be wrong. To many this would be a serious drama but it turned out to be a comedy. I think the best seen in the movie is the last one when Micheal gets shot by the police and he runs side to side for like ten minutes while smokeing a ciggeratte lol. That one scenes and just stands out and is just simply amazeing to me. Without that scene i would sya the movie was pretty boreing but with it the film was tookin to another level

Movie Paper assignment

The film i choose for my five page paper is "The Matrix". Which was a groundbreaking film in special effects when it was first released The film stars Keanu Reeves & Lawerence Fishbourne. The film became so successful they made to sequels and is now considered one of the greatest film triligy's of all time

Citizen Kane

Citizen Kane is a 1941 America drama film. This is Olsen Wells first feature film he directed. It was nominated for nine academy awards. The film is considered to be a classic by many. I disagree with that. I suppose at the time it came out it was considered ground breaking, but it really didn't keep my interest. I guess because the same dialoge has been done many times after. The film kind of reminded me of the twilght zone. I personally would not recommend this film i really did not like it to much.

Singin in the Rain

Singin in the rain has been referred to by many as a classic. I have all ways seen bits and pieces of the film but never it's full lengh. To be honset i actually thought the movie would suck because i really hate musicals. But to my surpise it was pretty amazeing and astonishing. For Singin in theRain to made so long ago the effects and colrs used was amazeing. I absolutely would recommend people to see this film. I also like the fact the poked fun at the silent movie era. To make a long story short it was just phenominal. Way past my expectations.

Memorial Weekend

The summer is here and all the movies are in the air. I'm really  excited this up coming summer because there are so many great films to see. the first movie that came out i wanted to see was the fourth installment of the Terminator series. The film had alot of action & great special effects. But the overall story was just terrible.  But hopefully Trasnformers 2 turns out to be as good as the first. I also wanna see Public Enmeys starrings Johnny Depp looks to be a real good film. Also the G.I. Joe film looks to be interesting.  So hopefully they all turn out to be to be as good as they look.

Th Great Western Movie

Stage Coach turned out to be an okay movie I expected more from it. But overall it was well put together for a movie from 1939. The western  I compared to Stage Coach was Tombstone, starring Kurt Russell made in 1995.  One similarity they had was the shot out factors and standoffs. Every cowboy gets into a shootout. They also were both great western movies. Overall they had alot a differences.  One example of a differece is the technology used to make the films because of the time difference. Stage Coach was shot in Black & White while tombstone was able be shot in color with more clarity to the picture. But if you love westerns  I would definitly recommend them both.
